Beatnick & K-Salaam - Where The Streets Have No Name

Although this site tackles mainly new and upcoming artists, we thought it would be appropriate to highlight one of the most outstanding hip-hop production duo's on the come-up in recent months. As some of you may know, New York breeds some of the best, most creative artists, in all of the world. That being said, we have one of New York's own, Beatnick & K-Salaam. This production duo has been producing and spinning tracks for a while now, but it wasn't until the release of their latest project, "Where The Streets Have No Name," that we caught a glimpse of what Beatnick & Salaam are really about. The talented artists on the album cover were enough for us to know what to expect, 'quality.'

The duo spins silly beats for an entourage of the most talented rappers in the game. The street album features 13 original songs, in which artists such as, Young Buck, Lil' Wayne, Talib Kweli, Colin Munroe, U-N-I, and Bun B, use to their disposal. The production quality on this album is stellar. The beats and melodic flow go far beyond some albums that are sold on shelves today.

If you are interested in truly original hip-hop beats, mixed with today's lyrical talent, "Where The Streets Have No Name," is for you. Take a spin with Beatnick & K-Salaam on this one, and head over to their bandcamp site, to cop a listen, and if your feeling thrifty, download, this album free!
