The Damnwells are an indie rock band from Brooklyn, New York that aren’t up and coming by any means but, are definitely well deserving of exposure. The band has released three studio albums ever since they were formed in 2001 and this year they have self-released their latest LP, “
One Last Century.”
Singer/songwriter Alex Dezen

graces each track with his pleasant vocals and clever lyrics which are paired nicely with soft rock instrumentals. Aside from the lead singer, Alex Dezen, and bassist, Ted Hudson, the group has seen its percussionists and guitarists swapped in and out like subs at a basketball game. With a variety of talent this group always seems to get it done. The Damnwells do a great job creating a relaxing and enjoyable sound which is noticeably similar to that of Tom Petty, The Replacements, Wilco, and Bob Dylan. The Damnwells are not a band to get you out of your seat and moving but one you can sit back and enjoy.

Although summer is gone we can still enjoy the crisp autumn air and the soft sounds of The Damnwells latest release, "
One Last Century." Not all things in life are
